Current Vacancies


We are currently seeking a Restaurant Supervisor who would relish the prospect of working in an award-winning country pub and restaurant that serves a range of fresh, locally sourced food.

The individual we are looking for will be passionate about our industry, well-presented, possess a can do attitude and have a genuine commitment to providing excellent hospitality.

You will be a team player that’s able to lead from the front and must possess strong communication and personal skills in order to be able to make lasting connections with our customers.

You will collaborate with the General Manager and Events & Reservations Manager to ensure the smooth running of service to all guests in the restaurant. You will assist the GM with staff training, stock ordering, opening up and closing down procedures, stock takes and various other duties.

Hours of work will be full time, 5 over 7 days with a range of split shifts and some straight shifts.

In return you will receive good rates of pay based on experience, holidays and good working conditions.

Previous experience working as a Restaurant Supervisor in a similar establishment is absolutely essential. Bar experience and own transport would be advantageous.

Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced full time chef that has worked in a restaurant or hotel of a similar calibre.

Working alongside our talented Head Chef, and his team, the successful applicant will learn and develop their personal skills. You will need passion and a love of ingredients and be someone who performs well under pressure and recognises the importance of motivating and leading other members of the team who may also be working under pressure.

You will be required to work weekends and split shifts

We are happy to consider a candidate that has worked their way up through the ranks and is willing to progress and develop further , however,  useful qualifications include:

City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery

BTEC HND in professional cookery

A foundation degree in culinary arts

Health and safety and food hygiene certificate/s

Key responsibilities:

Running the kitchen when the head chef is away

Ensure you and the team adhere to culinary and company standards

Managing food purchasing and storage

Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment

Helping create new recipes and write menus

We are looking for someone with real character and personality to become the face of The Bell. From our bartenders we expect; imagination, drive, creativity and a thirst to know more.

Ideally you will have worked in a similar position in a venue of similar high standards. Excellent communication skills and customer service skills are paramount and we will expect you to possess good spirits, wine and cocktail knowledge. You will possess an interest in your product which you will demonstrate through work.

Accommodation considered.

Starting alary £17,500 based on experience and qualifications.

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented waiting staff, with passion for customer service who are flexible, reliable and well organised, to join the team. People who can work on their own initiative as well as with others and have a genuine desire to work in the hospitality industry.

We are a busy two floor restaurant with a bar, so energy and a good attitude are crucial for this role.
