The Bell, Alderminster Highly Commended for Business Innovation at top Industry Awards

With over 500 Gastro pubs applying for the five categories in the Publican’s Morning Advertiser Top 50 Gastro Pub Awards 2012, The Bell, is delighted to be “Highly Commended” for Business Innovation! The Bell was one of a handful of pubs selected to pick up an accolade at the Industry Awards Luncheon in Buckinghamshire, hosted by Radio 2’s food and drink expert Nigel Barden. The expert judging panel made up of pub company chiefs, food writers, food guide editors and top chefs judged the applications from over 500 pubs throughout the UK. The Bell has been recognised for improving business through a number of innovations including the creation of four individually styled bedrooms, The Sunday Lunch Sharing Platter, Picnics and Tipi’s in the riverside meadow, it’s own Alscot Ale and themed and charity events such as Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer Campaign.

The Bell has been recognised, amongst some of the very best establishments in the UK as a Runner Up in the Observer Food Monthly Awards 2011 - Best Place to Drink category! The reader-voted awards celebrate the very best in British food and drink, so this really is a great achievement. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of those that voted for us.

Wear it Pink 2011
The Bell with the help of its supporters including Motus Personal Training recently raised £2147.88 for Breast Cancer Campaign at a fundraising event on Friday 21st October.

The Alscot Charity Christmas Fair
The event held on 6th and 7th December 2010 was a great success and with your help we have raised the fantastic amount of £9365.08 for Newborns in Need (HEFT) to assist with specialist care for vulnerable babies and St Mary’s Church, Preston on Stour for vital restoration works.
