The Bell's second Bonfire and Fireworks Display returned by popular demand on Friday 4th November 2016 and once again it was a huge hit with the vast crowds! Revellers congregated by the enormous bonfire, with the guy perched on top, to watch it set a blaze before the amazing 18 minute firework display with fantastic finale. Following straight on The Rock Bottoms entertained the crowds with live music, and people enjoyed barbequed burgers & hot dogs, pulled pork, hot soup, paella and chilli bean pot from the catering team. The Bell's mulled wine was a huge hit and volunteers from the Stratford Hospital Cancer and Eye Ward Appeal kept the children happy with glowing memorabilia and toffee apples. The event was free to attend and all voluntary donations of £2338.86 went to the Stratford Hospital Cancer & Eye Ward £1 million Appeal which is now in the last two months of fundraising before the hospital opens in Spring 2017.

Following an inspectors visit we are delighted to announce that we have retained a 4 Star Inn rating with Gold Award for guest accommodation and an AA Rosette for culinary excellence.
The inspector commented..The property had benefited from a large extension and refurbishment of restaurant area. Works completed were impressive with an obvious focus on quality and guest comfort and included new furniture and very good quality table appointment. The elevated terrace was an unexpected bonus and would no doubt be a great asset to the large patio area in sunny weather. The individually styled bedrooms and bathrooms remained in very good order with a host of thoughtful extras provided to boost impressions of quality and guest comfort levels. Housekeeping standards remained a strength.
