part time waiter/waitress

We are currently seeking a waiter or waitress to work a handful of weekday evening shifts as well as weekends. Ideally you will have previous hospitality experience however, training will be provided. The individual we are ideally looking for will be passionate about our industry, well-presented, possess a can do attitude and have a genuine commitment to providing excellent hospitality. CHEF DE PARTIE

We are currently seeking a passionate and detail focused Chef De Partie who would relish the prospect of working in an award-winning, four star country pub with luxury guest bedrooms currently serving 1 AA Rosette food but pushing for 2 AA Rosette cuisine.

As a Chef de Partie you will get to oversee a section of the kitchen and work alongside our talented Head and Sous Chef to create modern British dishes with a European twist using seasonal and local ingredients as well as a variety of modern techniques.

The individual we are looking for will have bags of stamina and enjoy the fast pace of working in a kitchen. You will be a team-player, a good communicator, possess great cooking skills and a cool head.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard

  • Helping the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop new dishes and menus

  • Ensuring that you and those around you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety

  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

Hours of work will be full-time, 5 over 7 days, with a range of split shifts and some straight shifts. In return you will receive a competitive salary (based on experience), 28 days holiday including bank holidays and staff discount.

Ideally you will already be working in a Chef De Partie role or alternatively will have a minimum of a year's experience as a Commis Chef. You will have at least an NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent and will have undergone both health and safety and food hygiene courses.

Due to the location of the pub and hours of work your own transportation is an absolute MUST.

JUNIOR SOUS CHEF

We are currently seeking a passionate and detail focused Junior Sous Chef who would relish the prospect of working in an award-winning, four star country pub with luxury guest bedrooms serving 1 AA Rosette food but pushing for 2 AA Rosette cuisine.

As a Junior Sous you will be a key member of the kitchen team and work closely with our talented Head and Sous Chef to create modern British dishes with a European twist using seasonal and local ingredients as well as a variety of modern techniques.

The individual we are looking for will have a flair and passion with ingredients, first class culinary skills and be a strong leader as well as a team-player. You will also be a good communicator, able to maintain a cool head under pressure and motivate younger members of the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen

  • Running the kitchen when the Head Chef and Sous Chef are away

  • Helping to train younger members of the kitchen team

  • Managing food purchasing and storage

  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment

  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

  • Assisting with menu development
